Tour Information

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha / Moshi

Transfer from Kilimanjaro airport to your accommodation in Moshi or Arusha.
Accommodation: Wilderness Comfort

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early breakfast will be served at the lodge thereafter, we depart for Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet. Tarangire is the best place to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat – from the adorable calf’s all the way up to the intimidating bulls. After a packed Lunch and an extensive game drive, we’ll be headed to the chosen campsite for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Wilderness Comfort

Day 3: Journey to Ndutu

Following breakfast, we’ll begin our journey to the Ndutu area nestled within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an integral part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Lake Ndutu, like many other rift lakes, is alkaline; however, its water remains potable and serves as a vital resource for a diverse array of local wildlife. Upon arrival, we’ll embark on an afternoon game drive in the Ndutu area. From December to April, the short-grass plains of Ndutu host the majority of the wildebeest migration, offering unparalleled opportunities for wildlife sightings. The region is renowned for its abundant population of elephants, a rich variety of bird species, and resident game.

Accommodation: Wilderness Comfort

Day 4: Ndutu

The entire day is set aside for more game drives in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impalas, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south Serengeti. During the long rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, you might have the chance to see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs and lions, always following close by. After an unforgettable day, The Serengeti National Park is where safari-goers come to truly experience an African safari. Late afternoons return to campsite for meals and overnight.

Accommodation: Wilderness Comfort

Day 5: Ndutu - Serengeti (Seronera)

Following breakfast, embark on an exhilarating full-day game drive in the Ndutu area, immersing yourself in a diverse range of habitats including swamps, woodlands, soda lakes, and the renowned Serengeti short grass plains. During your exploration, you’ll encounter vast herds of wildebeest and zebras, particularly during a brief yet spectacular period from February, lasting around three weeks, when the majority of wildebeest calves are born. The expansive Serengeti short grass plains offer little cover, making the young vulnerable to a variety of predators. Despite this, wildebeest calves demonstrate remarkable resilience, capable of running within minutes of birth and sufficiently strong to keep pace with the herd within just three days. In the afternoon, we’ll depart for Serengeti National Park, continuing our adventure amidst the breathtaking landscapes and unparalleled wildlife encounters.

Accommodation: Wilderness Comfort

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)

Following breakfast, embark on a thrilling full-day of game drives in the wilderness, tracing the epic trails of the Great Migration. Accompanied by our knowledgeable driver-guide, you’ll delve into the fascinating intricacies of this iconic event, which has rightfully earned Tanzania its reputation as the premier safari destination in Africa. Serengeti, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, plays host to approximately 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, journeying alongside the wildebeests in search of fresh grazing grounds. Immerse yourself in the symphony of over 6 million hooves thundering across the vast plains of Serengeti, fulfilling the quintessential African wildlife experience you’ve always envisioned

Accommodation: Wilderness Comfort

Day 7: Ngorongoro then back Arusha / Moshi

Following an early breakfast, we’ll journey to the renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descending to an impressive depth of 600 meters into the crater, we’ll be treated to a spectacular display of wildlife. The Ngorongoro National Park boasts a year-round water supply and abundant fodder, nurturing a diverse array of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and majestic African elephants. This attraction is particularly famed for its dense predator population, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, requiring keen observation skills to spot. Our exploration will also lead us to Lake Magadi, a vast yet shallow alkaline lake nestled in the southwest corner of the crater. Here, a multitude of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds gracefully adorn the tranquil waters.
Accommodation: Wilderness Comfort
